Preparing for World Peace Day: Empowering Young Peacemakers

Approximately one month from now, on September 21, the world will celebrate World Peace Day. For the past 16 years, the Center for Peace Education (CPE) has proudly honored this day with peace parades, songs, and indoor performances across our community.

Our students have already begun rehearsals! From the attachments, this week, they are practicing their mediation drama, "The Broken Bench & The Helper," bringing classroom lessons of dialogue, neutrality, and problem-solving to life on stage.

Thank you so much for your continued love, generosity, and support!

CPE Is Healing the Land, Empowering the Future

Following Liberia’s 14-year civil war (1989–2003), the Center for Peace Education (CPE) dedicated itself to guiding and empowering our youth growing up in post-conflict communities.

Sustainable peace starts in the classroom! Through drawing and storytelling, students like Cherish and Manfred are showing us what they’ve learned, YES Indeed, from managing personal anger to stepping in as mediators and shaking hands to heal disputes.

OH YES! Our children aren't just learning peace; they are living it under the banner of "Healing together, winning together!

Thank you for your continued love and support!

From Classroom Lessons to Real-Life Change

When we assign homework at the Center for Peace Education, we aren't just checking reading and writing; OH YES! We are watching peace take root in their hearts.

As shown in the photos, Swaliho illustrated how a mediator steps in to solve conflict, while Ambulai wrote a powerful story showing why peacemaking tools are urgently needed when tension builds up.

Peace is no longer just a topic on a whiteboard; oh YES indeed, it is becoming a lifestyle for our students!

Thank you for your continued support as we empower the next generation of peace builders.
